About US:

Dream School Foundation is a non-profit organization established in Bangalore, India in 2005. Our goal is to break the cycle of socio-economic vulnerability for children and families through the power of education. We work towards ensuring that every child, including girls and children from marginalised communities have equitable access to quality education. We work closely with the Education Department and the Govt. school authorities. Our work spans from schools to livelihood and encompasses not only children but also teenagers and youth from under-served background.

Role Description

The Facilitator role is a part-time / on-site role located in Bengaluru with travel to Haveri/Ranebennur once a week. The Facilitator will be responsible for supporting STEM champions from Govt Schools. They will help design, develop and oversee their science projects as part of VIGYAN SANTHE — our district-level exhibition of gamified science to be conducted in Jan Additionally, the Facilitator will be responsible for creating a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity in the students.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Strong subject matter expertise in Science & Math
  • Excellent teaching skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other faculty and staff members
  • Prior experience working with students from disadvantaged communities is a plus

Knowledge of KANNADA is a MUST.

Travel outside Bangalore to various districts and taluks in Karnataka is an integral part of the role.

This is a short-time assignment for 3/4 months on a part-time basis. Payment can be discussed on application.
