Red Line Industries is looking to hire a Purchase Engineer in Mumbai

Red Line Industries Ltd. is a leading powder coating machines and powder coating guns manufacturer and exporter. Red Line has established itself in the powder coating industry for its high standards in the quality and technology of the products as well as superior performance levels of all powder coating systems designed and supplied. We serve our powder coating application equipment customers across the globe from USA and Canada in the West through countries in Europe like UK, Netherlands, Germany, Norway through Asia to Far East Asia like Japan, Malaysia and Singapore and Australia and New Zealand.

Role and Responsibilities

As a purchase engineer, you will be responsible for the buying of an array of products, based on Red Line's needs. This includes:

  • Identifying and and building relationships with reliable vendors to keep up with the Red Line's requirements 
  • Working with suppliers to ensure products needed to complete projects are available when required and are up to quality specifications
  • Negotiating with suppliers to get a top product at the best price 
  • Keeping a track of and managing supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, delivery, and responsiveness

What Red Line is looking for

  • A Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering 
  • At least 2 years of experience in procurement of products for a manufacturing company
  • Ability to analyze bills of material and drawings to understand key requirements
  • Knowledge and direct experience in negotiating contracts and quotations with suppliers
  • Ability to identify cost reduction opportunities
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with personal computers and networking, specifically Microsoft Excel
