Seeking a highly skilled Senior BI Engineer to play a key role in designing, building, and scaling business intelligence solutions that power data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role involves working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, transforming raw data into meaningful insights, and developing reliable analytics infrastructure that supports reporting, self-service analytics, and strategic initiatives.

You will be responsible for developing robust data models, maintaining BI pipelines, building analytical dashboards, and enabling business teams with trustworthy and accessible data. This position also involves promoting data best practices, driving metric consistency, and leveraging modern BI and AI tools to improve productivity and analytical scalability.

Requirements

Build & Maintain BI Solutions
Develop scalable dashboards, reports, and analytical layers to support data consumption across teams.

Design Insightful Data Visualizations
Create dashboards that deliver clear narratives and highlight trends, root causes, and business impact.

Define & Govern Metrics
Collaborate with stakeholders to standardize KPIs and ensure data definitions remain consistent and reliable.

Data Modeling & Optimization
Work with engineering teams to design data models (bronze, silver, gold layers) aligned with analytics and reporting needs, following medallion architecture.

Enable Data-Driven Decision Making
Translate business problems into BI deliverables and convert analytical findings into actionable insights.

Ensure Data Quality & Trust
Monitor report accuracy, validate data pipelines, and implement quality checks to maintain reliable business reporting.

Leverage Gen AI & Automation
Use Generative AI and automation tools to optimize report development, documentation, summarization, and insight delivery.

Strengthen Data Literacy
Educate teams on how to interpret dashboards, build self-service reports, and adopt BI best practices.

Support Advanced Analytics
Collaborate with data science teams to ensure BI systems support predictive modeling, experimentation, and ML-driven use cases.

• 5+ years in BI engineering, data analytics, or related roles.
• Expertise in BI platforms such as Looker, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Advanced SQL skills for data transformation and analysis.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, star schema, semantic layers, and medallion architecture.
• Experience working with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery).
• Knowledge of data refresh strategies (incremental vs full load).
• Ability to convert business needs into data models, dashboards, and reporting assets.
• Strong communication skills for presenting insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experience with e-commerce data (orders, customers, product analytics).
• Familiarity with dbt, LookML, or other modern analytics engineering tools.
• Exposure to data governance, metadata, or cataloging platforms.
• Experience with Git-based version control for analytics workflows.
• Understanding of privacy and compliance frameworks (GDPR, etc.).
