Job Description:

Required Experience

  • 5 to 7 years
    of professional experience in Business Intelligence development, data warehousing, and database engineering.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

BusinessObjects (BO) Expertise (Mandatory)

  • Extensive experience with the full BusinessObjects suite (Web Intelligence, Universe Design Tool/Information Design Tool).
  • Proven ability to design, develop, and optimize complex Universes (semantic layers) ensuring performance and ease of use for end-users.
  • Expertise in creating advanced, high-impact reports, dashboards, and analytical views.

PL/SQL Development (Mandatory)

  • Strong proficiency in writing and tuning advanced stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers within an Oracle environment.
  • Deep understanding of Oracle database architecture, data modeling principles, and performance optimization techniques (indexing, execution plan analysis).

Snowflake Data Warehousing (Mandatory)

  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture, data loading utilities (Snowpipe, COPY INTO), and performance optimization in a cloud data warehouse environment.
  • Proficiency in writing high-performing SQL queries within Snowflake to support BI and analytical requirements.

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills (Mandatory)

  • Exceptional ability to gather, analyze, and translate complex business requirements into technical BI solutions and data models.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve data integrity issues, report discrepancies, and performance bottlenecks across the entire data flow (ETL to Reporting).

Unix/Linux Proficiency (Mandatory)

  • Solid experience with shell scripting (Bash, Korn Shell) for automating batch jobs, scheduling processes, file handling, and monitoring data pipeline health.
  • Familiarity with common Unix command-line tools for server maintenance and operation.

Good-to-Have Skills & Qualifications

  • AWS Cloud Experience:
    Familiarity with core AWS services relevant to data warehousing and BI (e.g., S3, EC2, Lambda) and integration with Snowflake.
  • Financial Industry Knowledge:
    Prior experience working with financial instruments, reporting, or regulatory data (e.g., Funds, Trading, Risk).
