Hiring: Senior Logistics Executive
We are hiring for a Senior Logistics Executive on behalf of our client, a global leader in soft commodities trading.
Location: Nagavara, Bangalore Experience: 4-6 year
Role Overview: The Senior Logistics Executive will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient execution of contracts while adhering to all internal and external regulations. You will also act as a subject matter expert during migration processes and work closely with ITES and ERP systems. This role reports directly to the Head of Logistics based in Bangalore.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain contract files
  • Ensure shipping instructions are provided accurately and on time
  • Coordinate shipping schedules with suppliers, agents, and buyers
  • Handle shipping issues such as delays or equipment shortages
  • Process shipping advice and update the system with accurate details
  • Review incoming shipping documents and manage freight invoices
  • Manage purchase invoices and provide payment instructions to the Finance team
  • Issue sale invoices and manage documentation with banks, buyers, and agents
  • Oversee warehousing and sampling instructions for unsold shipments
  • Manage weight discrepancies and issue final invoices for any differences
  • Handle rejected shipments and coordinate trucking to alternative locations

Required Skills:
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (both written & verbal)
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and ERP systems (Trade & Logistics/Sales & Distribution)
  • Clear understanding of customer contract processes and international trade terminology

Knowledge:
  • Familiarity with agricultural commodities or FMCG business and trading
  • Experience with continuous improvement tools like Lean Six Sigma
  • Understanding of contract management, tariffs, and process documentation

Experience:
  • 4-6 years of experience in logistics and contract management
  • Hands-on experience with international shipping documentation and managing carriers/forwarders
  • Experience working across European, Asian, or African markets
  • Migration process experience and familiarity with ERP systems are preferred
