Job description:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Academic & Curriculum Leadership

  • Oversee implementation of age-appropriate curriculum and teaching methodologies.
  • Ensure lesson plans support holistic development (cognitive, emotional, social, and physical).
  • Introduce innovative teaching-learning practices to enhance early childhood education.
  • Monitor classroom activities and provide feedback to teachers.

2. Staff Management

  • Recruit, train, and mentor teachers and support staff.
  • Conduct staff meetings, workshops, and professional development programs.
  • Evaluate teacher performance and ensure effective classroom management.
  • Promote teamwork, motivation, and a positive work environment.

3. Student Development & Safety

  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and child-friendly learning environment.
  • Monitor children's overall growth, identifying developmental milestones and areas needing support.
  • Implement and enforce safety, hygiene, and health protocols.
  • Manage behavior guidance and conflict resolution in a positive manner.

4. Parent & Community Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with parents through regular communication, meetings, and feedback sessions.
  • Organize parent engagement programs, events, and workshops.
  • Address parent concerns with empathy and professionalism.

5. Administration & Operations

  • Oversee daily operations, including scheduling, transport and extracurricular activities.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies, regulations.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and school infrastructure effectively.
  • Plan and execute school events, celebrations, and special programs.

6. Vision & Leadership

  • Promote the school's mission, values, and philosophy of early childhood education.
  • Set goals for academic excellence, student well-being, and staff growth.
  • Foster an environment of respect, inclusivity, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education / B.Ed.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in preschool/primary Principal.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with children, staff, and parents with patience and empathy.
  • Knowledge of early childhood pedagogy, curriculum design, and child psychology.
  • Proficiency in technology for school administration and communication.
