Skills

Deep understanding of vehicle-level control strategies for propulsion

systems.

  • Strong grasp of ISO 26262 standards.
  • Experience conducting Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment

  • Deep understanding of Controls System Engineering to generate Tier 1

and internal system and SW requirements.

  • Ability to define and implement technical safety requirements and

safety concepts

  • Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink for control algorithm design and

simulation.

  • Hands-on experience with tools like Medini Analyze, FTA, FMEA,

or equivalent

  • Understanding of Automotive SPICE development lifecycle.

Role & responsibilities

Define and develop propulsion-related vehicle features, ensuring alignment with customer

expectations and system capabilities.

  • Translate feature requirements into system-level specifications and interface definitions.
  • Collaborate with propulsion system, software, and calibration teams to ensure robust feature delivery.
  • Support integration, testing, and issue resolution throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Proven experience in propulsion systems (xHEV/BEV/ICE) and feature delivery processes.
  • Proficiency in requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS) and system engineering methods.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Taking logs (diagnostics) and using prognostics data to verify charging performance of features has been met on rigs and vehicles.
  • Support feature development and validation for charging systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration and performance.
  • Participate in system-level testing and debugging.
  • Assist in documentation and reporting for feature sign-off.

Good to Have

  • Experience: Over 5 years of proven experience in HV Charging and

features and controls in Battery Electric / Hybrid automotive vehicle

applications

  • Knowledge of CAN/CAN-FD communication protocols
  • Use of Hardware In the Loop (HIL) rigs
  • Functional Safety Knowledge, ISO 26262/ Cyber security systems and requirements, ASPICE
