Role & responsibilitiesMaintain and update master data of all machinery, utilities, motors, compressors, and heavy equipment, including nameplate and asset details within the factory premises. Identify CTQ/CTD machinery in coordination with PPC, Production, and Quality teams. Ensure 24x7 availability of critical spares and maintain inventory control.

Oversee and verify the daily machine check sheets completed by the production team. Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules, assign tasks to the maintenance team, and ensure accurate recordkeeping. Maintain and periodically update machinery history cards and equipment service records.

Plan and execute predictive maintenance schedules using data-driven insights and spare part analytics. Monitor and improve MTTR/MTBF through actionable measures. Track and control Revex related to major maintenance and spare parts consumption.

Ensure equipment availability aligns with benchmark levels defined under the OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) category. Maintain and back up all machine PLC software copies and critical programming data. Coordinate with equipment suppliers and the Purchase Department to resolve major breakdowns or recurring issues.

Prepare and review departmental MIS reports, ensuring clarity in reporting trends and issues. Lead the department in audits, quality initiatives, and cost reduction through maintenance best practices. Mentor and develop a skilled maintenance team to meet present and future organizational needs.

Qualifications and Skills:Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent technical qualification). Minimum 15 years of hands-on experience in plant maintenance (preferably in manufacturing or heavy engineering sector). Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance practices, PLC systems, utilities, and industrial safety norms.

Proven experience in preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies. Familiarity with tools like SAP/ERP for maintenance tracking and spare parts inventory. Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and machinery manuals.

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in preparing and analyzing maintenance-related reports (MIS, OEE, MTTR/MTBF data, etc.).
