Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment and machinery.
  • Inspect, test, and evaluate equipment to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Perform routine checks to identify potential faults before they cause issues.

Troubleshooting & Repairs:

  • Diagnose and repair faulty equipment quickly to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with operators and production teams to resolve machinery issues.
  • Perform root cause analysis to identify long-term solutions to recurring problems.

Maintenance Records & Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, including parts used, time spent, and problems solved.
  • Prepare and review maintenance logs to ensure compliance with company standards.

Equipment & System Installation:

  • Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery.
  • Ensure all systems and machinery are installed correctly, operating safely, and meeting performance standards.

Team Coordination:

  • Work closely with the production and engineering teams to ensure smooth operation of the plant.
  • Supervise and guide junior technicians and maintenance staff.
  • Provide training to other staff on safe equipment operation and basic troubleshooting.

Health and Safety:

  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Participate in safety audits and risk assessments to improve plant safety and minimize hazards.

Inventory Management:

  • Monitor the availability and condition of spare parts and materials needed for maintenance.
  • Order parts and manage inventory levels effectively.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Suggest improvements to enhance machinery efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Implement best practices in maintenance operations to enhance productivity.

Project Management:

  • Assist in capital projects related to equipment upgrades or installations.
  • Plan and coordinate maintenance projects to meet business objectives.
