  • Manage day-to-day operations of the textile testing lab.
  • Plan, prioritize, and allocate testing tasks for lab technicians.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely completion of all test reports.
  • Perform and supervise testing of:
  • Fabric GSM, shrinkage, tensile/tear strength
  • Color fastness (washing, rubbing, perspiration, light)
  • Dimensional stability
  • Pilling & abrasion resistance
  • Fiber content analysis
  • Yarn and fabric construction analysis
  • Ensure all tests comply with ISO, ASTM, AATCC, BIS, and buyer-specific standards.
  • Ensure smooth functioning of textile testing instruments such as:
  • Tensile strength tester
  • GSM cutter & balance
  • Crock meter
  • Launder-o-meter
  • Pilling box/martindale tester
  • Hot air oven
  • Light fastness machine
  • Maintain calibration, preventive maintenance schedules, and equipment certifications.
  • Prepare and review test reports with accurate results and observations.
  • Maintain lab records, calibration logs, SOPs, and test method documentation.
  • Manage data entry and lab MIS reports.
  • Ensure lab compliance with ISO 17025, customer audit requirements, and textile testing protocols.
  • Develop and update testing SOPs.
  • Conduct internal audits and implement corrective/preventive actions.
  • Supervise and guide lab technicians and junior staff.
  • Conduct training on test procedures, equipment usage, and quality protocols.
  • Ensure safety guidelines and lab discipline are followed.
  • Coordinate with production, QC, merchandising, and R&D teams.
  • Handle customer queries related to quality, testing methods, and compliance.
  • B.Tech in Textile Technology / Textile Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a textile testing lab or garment/fabric QC lab.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO, ASTM, AATCC, and buyer testing standards.
  • Proficiency in textile testing equipment and lab methodologies.
  • Excellent documentation, reporting, and analytical skills.
  • Experience in garment manufacturing, textile mills, quality control laboratories, or third-party testing labs.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹35, ₹40,000.00 per month
