The Role:

We are looking for a passionate and creative Social Media Marketing Manager to join our team and bring the Zarnika story to life across our digital platforms. As our first dedicated social media hire, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive social media strategy that builds our brand presence, engages our community, and drives growth. The ideal candidate will have a deep appreciation for South Asian culture, a flair for visual storytelling, a proven track record of building engaged online communities, and a talent for leveraging cutting-edge technology to create stunning visuals.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a dynamic social media strategy across key platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.) that aligns with Zarnika's brand identity and business goals.
  • Create, curate, and manage all published content (images, video, written, and AI-generated assets), ensuring it is on-brand, visually appealing, and tells a compelling story.
  • Utilize Generative AI tools, particularly Midjourney, to conceptualize and create unique visual assets, campaign mockups, and creative content that aligns with Zarnika's aesthetic.
  • Foster and grow our online community by engaging with followers, responding to comments and messages in a timely and authentic manner, and building relationships with brand advocates.
  • Develop and manage a content calendar, planning and scheduling posts to ensure a consistent and engaging online presence.
  • Identify influencers who align with the Zarnika brand and collaboarte to create content.
  • Monitor and analyze social media performance, using data and insights to optimize our strategy and report on key metrics.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media and Generative AI trends, tools, and best practices, with a keen eye for opportunities to innovate and grow.
  • Collaborate with the founder and other team members to ensure a cohesive brand message across all marketing channels.
  • Plan and execute paid social media campaigns to reach new audiences and drive traffic and sales.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable experience and proficiency with Generative AI tools, especially Midjourney, for creating high-quality visual content.
  • A deep understanding of and passion for South Asian culture and aesthetics.
  • Excellent visual storytelling skills, with a strong eye for design and photography.
  • Exceptional copywriting and communication skills, with the ability to capture the brand's voice and tone.
  • Creative, resourceful, and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience working with a fashion or lifestyle brand, particularly in the South Asian or luxury space.
  • Connections with influencers and content creators in the South Asian fashion and lifestyle niche.
  • Experience with e-commerce and driving sales through social media.
