Key responsibilities

  • Initiate outbound calls to potential and existing customers to promote products or services.
  • Handle inbound calls, answering customer questions, and resolving complaints or issues.
  • Explain product features, benefits, and pricing to generate interest and close sales.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions in a CRM system.
  • Follow up on leads to convert prospects into customers.
  • Achieve daily and weekly call targets and sales goals.
  • Adhere to scripts and company policies while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Gather and relay customer feedback to relevant departments.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong persuasion and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle rejection.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and basic computer skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent; a degree is often a plus.
  • Proven experience in a telemarketing or call center role.
  • Ability to work effectively both individually and as part of a team.

  • Previous experience in a similar sales or customer service role.
  • Familiarity with specific industry knowledge, such as real estate or educational counseling.
  • Ability to switch communication styles based on customer cues.
