Role & responsibilities

  • Demonstrate ownership and implement best practices to improve product quality, process efficiency, and the sustainability of lab operations in line with ISO and NABL standards.
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) to identify and resolve chronic quality issues for internal and external customers related to product assurance and laboratory performance.
  • Establish, standardize, and sustain Quality Assurance systems to ensure consistent product quality and process reliability throughout manufacturing.
  • Lead the capability building of lab and QA teams through structured training, process audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for recurring process or product issues.
  • Collaborate closely with Production, R&D, and Maintenance teams to align quality standards with operational and customer requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental, and safety standards while promoting sustainable manufacturing practices.
  • Champion continuous improvement through Lean, Six Sigma, and Total Quality Management (TQM) methodologies.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Strong knowledge of copper manufacturing processes, metallurgical testing, and product inspection methods.
  • Hands-on experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, NABL, and related quality systems.
  • Proven leadership in driving process optimization, cost reduction, and defect prevention.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in data-driven decision-making and modern quality tools (SPC, FMEA, MSA, etc.).
