Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate reliable suppliers and vendors for goods and services.
  • Handle end-to-end purchase cycle: requisition, quotation, negotiation, purchase order, follow-up, and delivery.
  • Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain supplier relationships and evaluate their performance periodically.
  • Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, consumables, machinery, or other operational requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (Production, Accounts, Logistics, etc.) to understand purchase needs.
  • Maintain purchase records, price databases, and supplier agreements for audit and reference.
  • Monitor inventory levels and place orders accordingly to avoid stockouts.
  • Stay updated with market trends, pricing fluctuations, and new vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and statutory requirements.

  • Knowledge of supply chain management and procurement best practices.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/purchase software.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, or related field.
  • 4–7 years of experience in purchase/procurement (manufacturing/engineering/retail industry preferred).
  • Proven track record in vendor development and cost-saving initiatives.
