
Regional Sales Manager

Job Purpose:
To drive sales growth, expand market share, and manage dealer/distributor networks in the assigned region for Tile Adhesive. The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for achieving revenue targets, developing channel partners, and building strong customer relationships while ensuring profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Business Development
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the region.
Expand distribution network by appointing new dealers, distributors, and retailers.
Identify and develop new business opportunities in the institutional, retail, and projects segment.
2. Channel Management
Strengthen relationships with exiting/new dealers/distributors through regular visits, schemes, and engagement.
Ensure proper implementation of sales schemes, discount structures, and incentive programs.
Monitor dealer performance and take corrective actions to improve productivity.
3. Market & Competitor Analysis
Conduct regular market surveys to track competitor activities, pricing, and new product launches.
Provide market intelligence and insights to management for strategy formulation.
4. Team Management
Lead, guide, and motivate Territory Sales Officers/Executives in the assigned region.
Ensure team productivity by setting clear goals, monitoring performance, and conducting training.
5. Customer Relationship Management
Maintain strong relationships with architects, builders, contractors, and institutional buyers.
Support project sales and ensure brand visibility at customer sites.
6. Operations & Reporting
Monitor order booking, collections, and receivables within credit limits.
Submit timely MIS reports on sales performance, dealer feedback, and market trends.
Ensure compliance with company policies and business ethics.
Key Requirements:
Education: Graduate preferred (BE/Diploma Civil) / MBA preferred (Marketing/Sales specialization).
Experience: 8-12 years in building materials industry (tiles, sanitaryware, cement, paints, or related). At least 35 years in a managerial role.
Skills:
Strong channel sales and distribution management.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Team leadership and performance management.
Market analysis and strategic thinking.
Other: Willingness to travel extensively across the region.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Achievement of sales targets (value & volume).
Increase in dealer/distributor network.
Market share growth in the region.
Timely collection of receivables.
Team performance and retention.
