By transforming conceptual designs into detailed drawings, the Mechanical Draftsman supports engineers and project managers in achieving successful project outcomes. The role requires proficiency in drafting software, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to collaborate closely with various departments, including engineering, product development, and manufacturing. A successful Mechanical Draftsman not only ensures the accuracy of technical documents but also contributes to improving efficiency and productivity within the organization. Ultimately, this position is vital for the effective communication of design intent, thereby facilitating the smooth progression of projects from conception through production.Key Responsibilities
  • Create detailed mechanical drawings using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD).
  • Prepare assembly and fabrication drawings based on engineer specifications.
  • Revise drawings and designs based on feedback and design changes.
  • Collaborate with engineers to develop accurate technical drawings.
  • Ensure all drawings conform to industry standards and regulations.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of drawing revisions and changes.
  • Assist in the preparation of design layouts and schematics.
  • Provide support in troubleshooting and refining designs as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with the manufacturing team for design feasibility.
  • Estimate material and labor costs based on detailed drawings.
  • Participate in design reviews and offer input for improvements.
  • Conduct verification and validation of designs through simulations.
  • Utilize 3D modeling software for complex assemblies and components.
  • Prepare and present reports and updates related to drafts and drawings.
  • Assist in training junior draftsmen and interns on best practices.
Required Qualifications Make detailed Technical/Mechanical/Assembly/GAD Drawings for Stainless steel Valves and Fittings in 2D/3D using software.
