JOB DESCRIPTION

Role Overview:
 you will be a key driver in advancing company's growth through Research and Development (R&D), application development, and the search for new products. Reporting - Business Development Head, this role is instrumental in leading a team of dedicated professionals focused on scientific and technical excellence.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Overall Innovation Strategy:

2. Develop and execute a comprehensive innovation strategy aligned with the company's growth objectives.

3. Lead the charge in exploring new avenues for product development and technological advancements.

4. R&D Leadership:

5. Work with the Research and Development team, ensuring a robust pipeline of innovative products.

6. Foster a culture of curiosity, experimentation, and continuous improvement within the R&D function.

7. Application Development:

8. Work with the Application Development team in creating practical applications for our products.

9. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand market needs and trends.

10. New Product Search:

11. Spearhead the search for new products, identifying opportunities for expansion and diversification.

12. Analyze market trends, competitor products, and consumer demands to guide the product search strategy.

13. Daily Interaction with Zonal Head - Business & People:

14. Participate in daily meetings with the Zonal Head, director - Business & People to provide updates on innovation initiatives.

15. Discuss progress, challenges, and strategic directions for R&D, application development, and new product searches.

16. Team Leadership:

17. Provide leadership and guidance to the Executive-Research & Application and Executive-Product Search.

Collaborate with direct reports to ensure alignment with innovation objectives and organizational goals.

1. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

2. Engage in cross-functional collaboration with other heads, such as Business Development, Quality, and SCM.

3. Ensure that innovation efforts complement and enhance the overall organizational strategy.

4. Performance Metrics and Reporting:

5. Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for innovation-related activities.

6. Generate regular reports to evaluate the success and impact of R&D, application development, and new product search initiatives.

7. Continuous Improvement:

8. Continuously assess and optimize innovation processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

9. Lead and participate in cross-functional teams focused on process improvement and creative problem-solving.

10. Technology Integration:

11. Evaluate and implement advanced technologies to support R&D and application development.

12. Leverage digital tools for data analysis, simulation, and innovative solution development.

13. Stakeholder Collaboration:

14. Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including Business Development, Quality, and SCM, to ensure innovation aligns with business objectives.

15. Foster effective communication and collaboration between the Innovation team and other departments.

Qualifications:

1. Any degree in a scientific or technical discipline.
2. 3-10 Years of experience in R&D, and product development initiatives.

3. Strong technical acumen with a deep understanding of the Food, Nutra, Pharma, Cosmetic, and Flavours & Fragrances industries.

4. Excellent Team player, communication, and strategic planning skills
