Key Responsibilities

  • Scanning Operations: Accurately scan barcodes on incoming and outgoing products, documents, or assets using a handheld or fixed scanner.

  • Inventory Management: Scan items to update real-time inventory levels, track stock, and conduct regular stock-taking to maintain accurate records.
  • Order Fulfillment: Collaborate with picking and packing teams to ensure that scanned items correctly correspond to customer orders before shipment.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect barcodes for clarity and legibility, identifying and reporting any damaged or missing barcodes.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot minor issues with barcode scanning equipment, reporting malfunctions as needed.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with operating barcode scanners and associated software.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail is crucial for accurate data entry and inventory management.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, which may involve prolonged standing or movement.
