Position Overview:

Seeking an experienced Senior Backend Developer to build and maintain e-commerce microservices ecosystem using Java and Spring Boot. The prospect work on critical systems including product catalogs, order processing, payment integration, and customer management while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional digital commerce experiences.

Education & Experience

· Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or related field

· 5 years of backend development experience with proven track record

· Experience with high-volume, customer-facing applications

· E-commerce, fintech, or similar transaction-heavy industry experience preferred

· Experience in SAP hybris required

Technical Skills:

Core Technologies:

· Java: Deep proficiency with Java 8 , JVM internals, performance optimization

· Spring Boot: Comprehensive experience with Spring ecosystem (Security, Data, Cloud, Integration)

· Databases: Strong SQL skills, JPA/Hibernate, database optimization

· NoSQL: Experience with Redis for e-commerce data

· APIs: RESTful API design and GraphQL expertise, authentication, rate limiting, documentation

Architecture & Infrastructure:

· Microservices: Service decomposition, inter-service communication, distributed systems

· AWS Cloud Platform: Experience with AWS services including auto-scaling and load balancing

· Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes for microservices deployment

· Message Queues: Kafka, ActiveMQ for asynchronous communication

· DevOps: GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, DataDog for APM monitoring

E-commerce Domain:

· Understanding of order management, payment processing, inventory systems

· Knowledge of e-commerce metrics (conversion rates, cart abandonment, CLV)

· Familiarity with payment gateways, shipping integrations, tax calculations

· Experience with seasonal traffic patterns and promotional campaigns

Soft Skill:

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

· Excellent communication with technical and business stakeholders

· Experience mentoring junior developers

· Attention to detail and commitment to code quality

· Adaptability to rapidly evolving e-commerce landscape

Advanced Experience:

· E-commerce platform experience (Shopify, Magento, custom platforms)

· Payment processor integrations (Stripe, PayPal, Square)

· Marketplace API experience (Amazon, eBay)

· Machine learning applications in e-commerce (recommendations, personalization)

· Search technologies (Elasticsearch, Solr) for product discovery

Technical Leadership:

· Experience leading e-commerce technical projects

· Open-source contributions to e-commerce projects

· Performance optimization for high-traffic e-commerce sites

· A/B testing and feature flagging implementation

· Technical writing and documentation expertise
