Position:Senior Sourcing Manager – Wiring and Cable Harness (Automotive Industry) Location: Bangalore, India Organization: Cyient DLM  Experience: Minimum years Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electronics OR Mechanical EngineeringKeyResponsibilities:Lead the sourcing and procurement of components related to automotive cable and wiring harness assemblies, including connectors, wires, cables, terminals, and electronic parts.Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships, focusing on:Part development and validationCable assembly outsourcingOvermolding and tooling for cable assembliesEnsure on -time availability of components by proactively coordinating with suppliers and mitigating potential delays.Drive cost reduction strategies through supplier negotiations, alternate sourcing, value engineering, and localization.Work closely with internal cross -functional teams (Engineering, Quality, Program Management) and OEM customers during the development and part approval (PPAP/APQP) phases.Apply knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS standards, and internal sourcing policies in daily operations.Lead a team of sourcing engineers, setting clear goals, reviewing performance, and supporting their development.Continuously evaluate the supplier base for competitiveness, risk, capability, and alignment with company goals.PreferredExperience & SkillsProven track record in sourcing wiring and cable harness systems in the automotive sector (OEM or Tier -1).Strong understanding of technical specifications, drawings, and manufacturing processes related to cable assemblies.Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills with a focus on achieving target costs and improving supplier performance.Experience working with global suppliers and managing component localization projects.Proficiency in cost analysis, should -cost modeling, and other cost reduction methodologies.Solid knowledge of sourcing processes, ERP systems (SAP/Oracle), and procurement best practices.Strong communication and leadership skills, with experience in leading engineering or sourcing teams.Familiarity with regulatory and quality standards in the automotive industry.
