**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Mid Level AI Engineer with 2-5 years of experience to join our dynamic AI team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in large language models (LLMs), vision-language models (VLMs), API design, and model evaluation, combined with strong proficiency in JavaScript (JS), TypeScript (TS), and PostgreSQL. You will play a critical role in developing, evaluating, and deploying state-of-the-art AI models and scalable APIs that power our innovative products.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Develop, fine-tune, and deploy large language models (LLMs) and vision-language models (VLMs) to support diverse AI applications.

- Design, implement, and maintain robust APIs to enable seamless integration of AI services with frontend and backend systems.

- Conduct rigorous model evaluation using quantitative and qualitative techniques to ensure accuracy, fairness, and performance benchmarks.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver end-to-end AI solutions.

- Optimize PostgreSQL databases to efficiently store, query, and manage AI model data and metadata.

- Write clean, maintainable code in JavaScript and TypeScript adhering to best practices and company coding standards.

- Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing sessions, and contribute to continuous improvement of AI engineering processes.

- Stay updated with the latest research and trends in AI, NLP, computer vision, and software development.

**Required Qualifications:**

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

- 2-5 years of professional experience in AI engineering or software development with a focus on AI/ML technologies.

- Strong experience working with large language models (LLMs) and vision-language models (VLMs).

- Proficient in JavaScript (JS) and TypeScript (TS) for backend and/or frontend development.

- Solid understanding and hands-on experience in API design and development.

- Experience with model evaluation methods including metrics for NLP and vision models.

- Practical knowledge of PostgreSQL database design, optimization, and querying.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization is a plus.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong communication skills and a commitment to writing clear, well-documented code.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- Master's degree in AI, Machine Learning, or related disciplines.

- Experience with additional AI frameworks and tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face Transformers.

- Knowledge of other programming languages such as Python or Go.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).

- Exposure to data engineering and distributed computing environments.
