Job Description

We're seeking a motivated Accounts Assistant to join our high-performing Finance team based out in Bangalore supporting the EMEA region. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in corporate finance, with exposure to bank reconciliations, intercompany accounting, and month-end processes.

Key Responsibilities

Bank Reconciliation & Treasury Support

  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations across multiple currencies and entities.
  • Investigate and resolve reconciling items promptly or provide clear explanations for outstanding items.
  • Collaborate with Accounts Payable and other teams to follow up on open items.

Intercompany Accounting

  • Maintain and reconcile intercompany schedules for designated EMEA entities.
  • Ensure timely and accurate invoicing between entities.
  • Support quarterly intercompany repayments and ensure proper documentation.

Month-End Close

  • Assist with FX validation, intercompany netting, and other month-end tasks.
  • Support the team during busy periods and contribute to audit preparation.

Process Improvement & Collaboration

  • Work with accountants to enhance processes and strengthen internal controls.
  • Build strong relationships with internal departments including AP, Payroll, Treasury, and Commercial teams.

Ad Hoc Tasks

  • Participate in financial analysis, investigations, and special projects as needed.

Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Technical Proficiency

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (Intermediate level – Creating Pivot Tables, V-lookups).
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Financials (Oracle) is a plus.
  • Comfortable working with multiple systems and software packages.

Education & Development

  • Actively studying or planning to study ACCA/CIMA or equivalent qualification.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within a dynamic finance environment.
