Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety Program Development:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and programs tailored to the PEB industry.
  • Ensure that safety programs comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Leadership and Management:
  • Lead the safety team, providing direction, support, and development opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement within the organization.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
  • Implement risk management strategies to mitigate identified hazards and ensure workplace safety.
  • Training and Development:
  • Design and conduct safety training programs for employees, subcontractors, and site visitors.
  • Ensure that all personnel are adequately trained in safety procedures and the use of safety equipment.
  • Incident Investigation and Reporting:
  • Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes.
  • Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence and ensure thorough documentation of findings.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
  • Stay current with safety regulations and standards applicable to the PEB industry.
  • Ensure that the organization complies with all relevant safety laws and regulations.
  • Emergency Preparedness:
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
  • Coordinate and conduct emergency drills to ensure readiness for potential incidents.
  • Safety Audits and Inspections:
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of construction sites and facilities.
  • Identify areas for improvement and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
  • Maintain comprehensive records of safety activities, incidents, training sessions, and audit findings.
  • Prepare regular safety performance reports for senior management review.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate safety into all phases of project planning and execution.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, regulatory bodies, and other external parties regarding safety matters.
