Role & responsibilities:

1) STORE MANAGER

A)Store Operations Management

  • Oversee day-to-day store functions including opening/closing procedures, cleanliness, safety, and orderliness.
  • Ensure shelves are stocked, inventory is accurate, and products are well-displayed.

B) Staff Management

  • Recruit, train, supervise, and schedule store employees (cashiers, stockers, supervisors, etc.).
  • Motivate and manage performance, discipline when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.

C) Inventory and Stock Control

  • Monitor stock levels and reorder products as needed.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Minimize shrinkage (theft, damage, loss).

D) Customer Service

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
  • Resolve complaints and handle escalations professionally.
  • Implement customer service strategies and staff training.

E) Sales and Profitability

  • Achieve sales targets and control operational costs to maximize profit.
  • Analyze sales data, identify trends, and adapt store layout or promotions accordingly.
  • Implement pricing strategies and promotional campaigns.

F) Compliance and Safety

  • Ensure the store complies with health, safety, hygiene, and legal regulations.
  • Conduct audits and risk assessments regularly.

G) Reporting and Communication

  • Prepare sales, inventory, and performance reports.
  • Communicate with upper management on store performance, needs, and concerns.
  • Coordinate with marketing, logistics, and finance departments.

2) STORE SUPERVISOR

A) Team Supervision

  • Supervise front-line staff (cashiers, stockers, floor assistants).
  • Assign daily tasks and ensure duties are performed efficiently.
  • Monitor employee attendance and behavior.
  • Train and guide new or junior staff.

B) Floor Operations

  • Ensure products are properly stocked, displayed, and labeled.
  • Monitor cleanliness, organization, and safety on the sales floor.
  • Support the replenishment of stock and proper product rotation (FIFO).

C) Customer Service

  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints on the floor.
  • Ensure staff are delivering a high standard of customer service.
  • Step in to resolve service issues when escalated.

D) Sales Support

  • Assist with implementing promotions and visual merchandising.
  • Encourage upselling and cross-selling by staff.
  • Monitor sales performance and suggest improvements to the manager.

E) Cash Handling and Checkout Oversight

  • Oversee cashier counters to ensure accuracy and speed.
  • Handle discrepancies, refunds, or authorizations as needed.
  • Ensure end-of-day cash reconciliation is accurate (if delegated).

F) Security and Loss Prevention

  • Monitor for theft, damage, or suspicious behavior.
  • Support shrinkage control and ensure staff follow loss prevention protocols.

G) Reporting and Communication

  • Report issues, incidents, or performance concerns to the Store Manager.
  • Help with inventory counts and audits when required.
  • Communicate promotions, changes, or updates to the team.

Preferred candidate profile:

  • Education: Graduate / Minimum 12th Pass
  • Experience: Minimum 4+ years based on role as store Manager or Store Supervisor
  • Age Limit: Up to 35 years
  • Gender: Open to both Male & Female candidates
  • Languages Required: English - Hindi Or English - Malayalam
