ABOUT THE HANS FOUNDATION

The Hans Foundation (THF), established in 2009, is a Public Charitable Trust that works towards creating an equitable society to enhance quality of life for all through the empowerment of marginalized and underprivileged communities in India. The Hans Foundation works for the Health and Wellbeing of remote and under-served groups, with an additional focus on children, persons with disabilities and women. THF also works for holistic Education and Livelihood development of our communities. Our Two-Fold Strategy involves identifying and working within Aspirational Districts and high poverty index in the North, North-East and East regions within specific states, as well as catering to lower-income and migratory populations in cities, through urban programs.

Over its 15 years of existence, THF has reached more than 35 million beneficiaries through its programs. THF works with communities through direct implementation of projects on the ground in addition to providing local management and monitoring support to not-for-profit organisations in India funded through THF USA and RIST.

PROJECT OVERVIEW: HRCC

Hans Renal Care Program is running successfully in the state of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh. There is a dire need for such an initiative in the North East Region although the Central Govt has already started implementing Pradhan Mantri National Dialysis Programme (PMNDP) in the six northeastern states — Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, and Nagaland. However, it is not enough in light of the rising cases of CKD and access of people to the services. In state of Meghalaya, three out of 11 district hospitals are implementing the PMNDP. While the state government is striving to cover the districts with dialysis centers still the patients from poor segment and unprivileged community are not getting benefitted due to inability to afford care.

The main objective of the program is to provide renal care services to needy people who don't have access to quality services. Initially five centers are proposed to be started consisting three hemodialysis machines in each center. The arrangements like minor repair, renovation and refurbishment of the infrastructure will be taken care of by THF. All manpower including doctor, technicians, nurses, ward boys and support staff will be placed in each center. These HRCCs will serve the purpose of improving their overall wellbeing by increasing access to the renal care services and reducing a substantial cost.

1. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

The key responsibilities of this position are as given below:

• To attain and maintain high standards of cleanliness and general upkeep
• To train, control, and supervise staff under its establishment.
• To attain good relations with other departments.
• To ensure the safety and security of all staff under its department and to keep superior authorities informed about day-to-day activities.
• Control and issue of cleaning materials and equipment.
• To maintain official records on staffing, cleaning materials, and equipments.

Educational Qualifications

• Minimum 10th Pass

3 . Functional / Technical Skills and Relevant Experience & Other requirements (Behavioural, Language, Certifications etc.)

• 0-2 years of experience in healthcare with good knowledge and skills.
