Location: Mumbai Andheri West

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technical Business Analyst with strong experience in Fund Accounting, NAV preparation, and Master-Feeder fund structures.

The ideal candidate will act as a liaison between business and technology teams, supporting the implementation, enhancement, and automation of fund accounting processes and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with fund accounting teams to analyze and document business requirements for NAV preparation and reporting.
  • Work on technical solutions that support daily, weekly, and monthly NAV calculations for hedge funds, mutual funds, or private equity vehicles.
  • Perform gap analysis between current fund accounting processes and target operating models.
  • Translate business requirements into Functional Specification Documents (FSDs) and Business Requirement Documents (BRDs).
  • Support projects involving Master-Feeder fund structures, including allocations, roll-ups, and multi-currency processing.
  • Interface with IT and data teams to ensure accurate data integration and reconciliation between front, middle, and back-office systems.
  • Conduct UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and support stakeholders through issue resolution and sign-off.
  • Assist in migration or implementation of fund accounting systems (e.g., Geneva, Eagle, Investran, or similar platforms).
  • Provide subject matter expertise on fund accounting principles and NAV calculation methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the financial services industry.
  • Strong hands-on understanding of Fund Accounting, NAV preparation, and Master-Feeder fund structures.
  • Experience working with fund administrators, investment managers, or asset servicers.
  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data analysis tools; experience with financial platforms (e.g., Geneva, Investran, Eagle) is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills to interface with both business and technical teams.
  • Strong documentation and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus.
