Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Business Development Manager (BDM), located in the Greater Kolkata Area. The BDM will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with clients, developing and executing business strategies, and achieving sales targets. Day-to-day tasks include market research, lead generation, customer meetings, negotiating contracts, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure client satisfaction and business growth.
- Minimum 3 years of B2B sales / business development experience (SaaS, GPS, IoT, or Telematics industry preferred)
- Graduate degree in any discipline (MBA is an added advantage)
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Proven track record of achieving/exceeding sales targets
- Immediate joiners preferred
Qualifications
- Experience in identifying new business opportunities and developing business strategies
- Skills in market research and lead generation
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency in negotiating contracts and closing deals
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Sales and marketing experience
- Familiarity with the logistics and fleet management industry is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- Drive new client acquisition in B2B markets (logistics, transport, fleet management, etc.)
- Identify business opportunities, generate leads, and convert them into sales
- Conduct client meetings, product demos, and presentations to decision-makers
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships for repeat business
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and customer satisfaction
- Achieve monthly/quarterly sales and revenue targets
