We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Risk and Control Analyst

Principal responsibilities
Participate in validating the design and operating effectiveness of the key controls through inspection, inquiry, observation, sampling, re-performance and recalculation.Participate in the review of risks and key controls through end-to-end process walkthroughs, events or thematic reviews, data-driven reviews or issue read across, and evidence reviews.Participate in activities to help ensure control assessments are accurate, effective, comply with procedures and templates, and meet quality control requirements.Assist with the provision of specialist risk and control knowledge and insightsIdentify trends to anticipate future developments in the risk and control environment Support the challenging of poor, inefficient or excessive controls, related tasks and behaviours Help identify trends to anticipate future developments in the risk and control environmentProvide MI's and reports that are accurate and shared as per agreed timelinesEnsure a consistent application of solutions across GPB entities, leveraging best practice, and driving appropriate read-across to other entities when issues ariseQualifications:
Good understanding of operational risk and controls, preferably gained through experience in front line and risk rolesA good understanding of the Group's Operational Risk FrameworkStrong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management, including the ability to influence senior stakeholdersProven problem-solving skills with ability to consider alternative and lateral solutionsHighly developed and effective presentation, interpersonal and communication skillsIndependent and able to work under minimal supervisioKnowledge of the changing regulatory environmentStrong Excel (particularly large data sets / modelling) and report productionYou'll achieve more at HSBC
