YouTube Video Editor – Sports Channel (Clutch Commentary)

Role Overview:

We're looking for a creative and fast-turnaround Video Editor who can transform sports highlights, analysis, and commentary into engaging YouTube videos that grab attention and keep viewers watching.

Responsibilities:

  • Edit YouTube videos (shorts + long-form) around sports commentary, trivia, and analysis.
  • Add dynamic motion graphics, captions, and sound design to enhance storytelling.
  • Sync commentary voiceovers with match footage or visuals.
  • Research and integrate trending sports clips or memes where relevant.
  • Maintain a consistent pacing, tone, and brand style across all videos.
  • Optimize videos for YouTube (aspect ratio, hooks, pacing, retention).
  • Deliver final exports on schedule and meet quality benchmarks.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience editing for YouTube (sports niche preferred).
  • Strong command of Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or DaVinci Resolve.
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines and quick turnarounds.
  • Good sense of sports timing, humor, and audience engagement.
  • Understanding of YouTube algorithm basics (retention, CTR, hook timing).
  • Optional: basic thumbnail or graphic design skills (Photoshop/Canva).

Nice to Have:

  • Passion for cricket, football, basketball, or other major sports.
  • Experience creating viral short-form content (Reels/Shorts).
  • Familiarity with English and Hindi sports culture.

Compensation:

Monthly retainer depending on output and skill level.
