**Position Title**: Peer Review Supervisor

**Department**: Global Services - Peer Review

**Location**: Dehradun
- You will oversee a team of 5-7 people and the peer review process of SAGE journals from manuscript submission through export to SAGE Production using SAGE Track, STS, SAGE’s online peer review systems.
- Troubleshoot and display ability to deal with difficult situations, with maturity and calmness.
- Maintain high quality communication and excellent relationships with journal editors, associate editors (if applicable), authors, reviewers, and other SAGE staff.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following:
1. Manage and maintain the administrative process of selected SAGE journals through SAGE Track sites.
2. Maintain positive work relationships and top-quality communication with journal editors, authors, reviewers, and SAGE staff throughout the world.
3. Work together with various contacts in the SAGE US and SAGE UK Offices (i.e. editorial, marketing, production, etc.) to utilize the SAGE Track sites and facilitate the growth and progress of each journal that is assigned to you.
4. Hold video/audio conferences with US and UK colleagues after the usual office hours.
5. Maintain editorial knowledge and proficiency.

Job Functions And Responsibility:
Supervisor Responsibilities

1. Supervise 5-7 Senior/Peer Review Associates, Senior Project Editor, and Editorial Assistants, with each individual handling the workload as per the work allocation plan.
2. Effectively supervise and motivate your team of Senior/Peer Review Associates, Senior Project
Editor, and Editorial Assistants to ensure that each individual team member adheres to the “Peer
Review Responsibilities” as outlined above.
3. Manage relationships with individual team members in a professional manner.

4. Evaluate the efficacy of processes periodically and suggest corrective action where required.
5. Help PRAs identify problem areas or areas of improvement for their journals and oversee strategic plan of action to reduce turnaround time for the peer review process of the journal.
6. Ensure that PRAs escalate problematic journals to Publishing Editors in a timely and effective manner.
7. Report any unusual elements in the workflow guide including tasks or their components to the
Manager Peer Review, especially for newly transitioned journals.
8. Evaluate current reports and the need for new reports periodically to ensure that the reports are effective and not redundant.
9. Ensure that process documentation is complete and available on the server. Any updates to be communicated to the Reporting Managers.

11. Escalate process, human resource issues to the Reporting Managers in a timely manner.

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Include, but not limited to, the following:

- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business or a departmentally related field.
- A minimum of two-three years of responsible leadership experience in management or supervisory positions.
- Excellent English verbal and written business communication skills.
- Computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power

Point
- Outstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching and development skills.
- Knowledge of the Peer Review functions and operation in Publishing Industry will be a must.
- Organization skills and attention to detail

**Salary**: Up to ₹700,000.00 per year
