Role Description:

We are seeking a Part-Time Cybersecurity Instructor to join the Codertia team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on experience in Cybersecurity, IT Security, or Information Assurance, with a deep understanding of industry standards, tools, and frameworks.

As a Cybersecurity Instructor, you will mentor aspiring security professionals through a structured and practical learning experience that emphasizes real-world skills, live labs, and simulation-based learning.

Responsibilities:

* Deliver Cybersecurity Bootcamp sessions that combine foundational concepts with hands-on practical labs.

* Teach and guide students through security assessments, ethical hacking, vulnerability management, and network defense.

* Develop and update curriculum content to reflect the latest security tools, attack vectors, and mitigation strategies.

* Demonstrate real-world use cases, penetration testing simulations, and security operations workflows.

* Mentor and support students on their projects, certifications, and career readiness.

* Stay updated with emerging threats, frameworks, and technologies in the cybersecurity landscape.

* Collaborate with Codertia's academic team to continuously enhance the training experience.

Qualifications:

* 5+ years of professional experience in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or related fields.

* Strong expertise with key Cybersecurity domains and tools, including:

* Network & Infrastructure Security: Firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, SIEM (Splunk, ELK, QRadar)

* Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing: OpenVAS, Nessus, Burp Suite, Nikto, Nmap, Metasploit, OWASP ZAP

* Ethical Hacking & Exploitation Frameworks: Kali Linux, Parrot OS, Exploit DB

* Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC): ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, SOC 2, GDPR, DPDP Act

* Identity & Access Management (IAM/PAM): Okta, CyberArk, Azure AD

* Cloud Security: AWS Security, Azure Security, GCP Security

* Threat Intelligence & Incident Response: MITRE ATT&CK, Wireshark, Threat Modelling, Log Analysis

* Emerging Tech Security: AI Security, IoT Security, Application Security, DevSecOps

* Relevant certifications preferred (CEH, CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, OSCP, etc.)

* Prior teaching, mentoring, or training experience is a strong advantage.

* Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline (or equivalent work experience).
