Jobs and Responsibilities of Purchase Engineer

  • Taking Quotations from Vendors and Negotiating with them
  • Making Rates comparisons of negotiated terms and presenting it to MD for getting approval.
  • Existing Vendors Management
  • Inter and intra department Meeting on daily basis
  • Monitoring & ensuring purchases on a daily basis
  • Getting Vendor audit done for new vendor approval from Quality Assurance Team
  • Proper filing and Record Keeping..
  • Handling Job work supplier and ensuring material delivered on time.
  • Vendor Visit if required.
  • Working in coordination with Purchase manager
  • Making POs based on Pending PRs on a daily basis
  • Followup Accounts to approve thePOs in Finsys
  • Download approved POs from Finsys, Send to Vendors and take acknowledgement
  • Strong Follow Up with vendors for pending material on a daily basis
  • Ensure timely deliveries of material in company to avoid production delays/loss
  • Identify, escalate and resolve material shortages before they affect production
  • Sending Debit Notes to suppliers and taking their acceptance within 24 hours
  • Ensuring that Rejected material has been sent to suppliers by Store
  • Coordinating with Transporters for speedy delivery of material in company within lead time
  • Highlighting vendor issues and Resolve them in assistance of Purchase manager
  • Regular meeting with Parts Production and MBD team for updating status of pending material
  • Regular Updation of Vendors Record Sheet

Who can FIT in to this role

  • Male candidate having 3-5 years experience in Purchase Department as a Purchase Engineer Candidate should reside within 15 Kms of Raga Engineers with self conveyance, GPS location:
  • Bachelors degree or diploma in mechanical engineering.
  • Operating Knowledge of any ERP system, Google drive and excel sheets
