The role requires managing procurement strategies, vendor development, cost optimization, and compliance, while ensuring timely delivery and high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, deep knowledge of the solar industry supply chain, and proven leadership in procurement functions.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Procurement & Sourcing:Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with solar business objectives.Lead negotiations and finalize contracts for solar modules, project items, and BoP components.Build long-term partnerships with domestic and global suppliers.Vendor Development & Management:Establish and manage a robust vendor base with supplier diversity and sustainability focus.Monitor supplier performance to ensure adherence to quality, cost, and delivery timelines.Commercial Excellence:Drive cost optimization through localization, alternate sourcing, and strong negotiations.Benchmark prices and analyze market trends to reduce risks.Leadership & Collaboration:Lead and mentor procurement teams across corporate and site functions.Work closely with Engineering, Projects, Finance, Legal, and Operations teams.Compliance & Risk Management:Ensure adherence to corporate governance and statutory procurement regulations.Identify, assess, and mitigate supply chain risks proactively.Skills & CompetenciesSolar energy procurement & supply chain knowledgeStrong negotiation & vendor management skillsCommercial acumen with cost-quality-time balanceLeadership & team managementStakeholder engagement & collaborationStrategic thinking & problem-solvingRequirementsQualifications & ExperienceMinimum: B.Tech / MBA or equivalentPreferred: Diploma in Purchase / Supply ChainExperience: 10+ years in procurement (solar or related industries)Industry PreferenceCandidates with experience inSolar organizationsor related industries are highly preferred.check(event) ; career-website-detail-template-2 => ,meta)" mousedown="lyte-button => check(event)" final- final-class="lyte-button lyteBackgroundColorBtn lyteSuccess" lyte-rendered="">
