Job Summary:

The Site Engineer - Civil will be responsible for overseeing daily construction activities, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the required quality standards. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on site supervision, quality control, and coordination with project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Supervision and Coordination:

  1. Daily Supervision:

  2. Supervise and monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.

  3. Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and laborers to ensure smooth workflow.

  4. Progress Monitoring:

  5. Track and report on the progress of construction activities.

  6. Ensure that construction activities are completed according to the project schedule.

  7. Resource Management:

  8. Assist in managing and allocating site resources, including materials, equipment, and labor.

  9. Ensure that materials and equipment are used efficiently and effectively.

Quality Control:

  1. Inspections:

  2. Conduct regular inspections of construction work to ensure quality standards are met.

  3. Identify and rectify any issues related to workmanship, materials, or construction methods.

  4. Documentation:

  5. Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, inspection reports, and material delivery records.

  6. Prepare and submit site reports to the project manager.

  7. Compliance:

  8. Ensure all construction activities comply with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.

  9. Implement quality control measures and conduct tests on materials as required.
  10. Identify potential safety hazards and implement measures to mitigate risks.
  11. Respond promptly to any safety incidents or emergencies on site.
  12. Communicate effectively with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  13. Attend site meetings and provide updates on project progress and any issues encountered.
  14. Address and resolve any technical issues or conflicts that arise on site.
  15. Provide technical support and guidance to the construction team.

Health and Safety:

  1. Safety Procedures:

  2. Ensure that all site activities adhere to health and safety guidelines.

  3. Conduct regular safety audits and toolbox talks to promote a safe working environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Dip/ Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • 1-2 years of experience in civil engineering or construction.
  • Experience in site supervision and quality control is advantageous.
  • Skills:
  • Strong understanding of construction techniques, materials, and safety standards.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
