As an AI Research Intern, you will collaborate with research engineers, AI scientists, medical institutions, and clinicians to develop cutting-edge deep learning models for the automated analysis of fetal ultrasound images. This internship offers a rare hands-on research experience at the intersection of AI and healthcare, allowing you to experiment, validate ideas, and contribute to real-world medical innovation.

What You Will Do

AI Research & Model Development

  • Design and implement advanced deep learning models for tasks such as classification, segmentation, object detection, and landmark detection.
  • Build visualization tools and frameworks to support interpretable and explainable AI systems.

Validation & Experimentation

  • Evaluate deep learning models for safety, accuracy, and clinical reliability across stages of product development.

Tech-to-Product Translation

  • Work with product, engineering, and regulatory teams to convert research outcomes into deployable medical technologies.

Technology Strategy & Exploration

  • Stay updated on emerging technologies (AI and beyond) to inform future development and innovation decisions.
Who We're Looking For

You may be a great fit if:

  • You are motivated to build next-generation AI solutions that improve healthcare outcomes for millions of expectant mothers worldwide.
  • You have 6+ months of hands-on experience in deep learning or machine learning, especially in computer vision tasks (CNNs, optimization, tuning, etc.).

Technical Skills Required:

  • Languages: Python
  • Frameworks: PyTorch
  • Libraries/Tools: OpenCV, Pandas, PIL, Matplotlib
  • Version Control: Git, GitHub

Bonus Skills / Knowledge:

  • Basics of medical image processing
  • Understanding of real-time model deployment workflows
  • Ability to read and implement academic research papers
  • Prior startup internship experience

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
  • Curious, experimental, and eager to learn
  • Effective communication in English (written + verbal)
