Job Summary:

  1. We are seeking a skilled
    Mechanical Design Engineer
    with strong proficiency in
    SolidWorks
    to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, modeling, and developing mechanical components and assemblies, ensuring that designs meet functional, manufacturability, and cost requirements.
  2. Key Responsibilities:
  3. Design and develop
    mechanical parts, assemblies, and systems
    using SolidWorks.
  4. Create
    3D models, detailed drawings, and BOMs (Bill of Materials)
    in accordance with company and industry standards.
  5. Conduct
    tolerance analysis, material selection, and mechanical calculations
    to ensure robust designs.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, electrical, quality, and procurement) to ensure design feasibility and cost efficiency.
  7. Participate in
    prototype development, testing, and validation
    of new products.
  8. Revise and improve existing product designs based on performance feedback or cost optimization.
  9. Manage design documentation, including
    ECOs (Engineering Change Orders)
    and revision control.
  10. Use simulation tools (SolidWorks Simulation or similar) for
    stress, thermal, or motion analysis
    when needed.
  11. Ensure designs comply with relevant
    industry standards and safety regulations.
  12. Support production teams in resolving design-related manufacturing issues.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in
    Mechanical Engineering
    ,
    Design Engineering
    , or related field.
  • 2–5+ years
    of experience in mechanical design, preferably in [industry: manufacturing, automotive, consumer products, machinery, etc.].
  • Advanced proficiency in
    SolidWorks
    (Part, Assembly, Drawing, and Simulation modules).
  • Strong understanding of
    GD&T, DFM/DFA, and material selection
    principles.
  • Experience with
    PDM (Product Data Management)
    systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of
    manufacturing processes
    such as machining, sheet metal, casting, and plastic injection molding.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to design accuracy and quality.
