VEDS is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Mechanical (HVAC) BIM Design Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, analysis, and BIM modeling of HVAC systems for commercial, residential, and industrial building projects.

This role involves performing heat load calculations, energy modeling, equipment selection, and BIM coordination using tools such as Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD. The candidate will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, sustainable, and energy-efficient designs.

• Lead the mechanical (HVAC) design of building projects from concept through detailed design and documentation
• Perform heat load calculations, energy analysis, and ventilation design using relevant software tools
• Develop detailed BIM models of HVAC systems in Revit and coordinate with other building services
• Prepare design documentation including schematics, layouts, and specifications
• Conduct clash detection and participate in BIM coordination meetings
• Ensure designs comply with ASHRAE, ISHRAE, and other relevant codes and standards
• Collaborate with architects, structural, electrical, and plumbing teams for integrated design solutions
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and BIM modelers
• Contribute to the development of sustainable and energy-efficient design strategies

Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• Proven experience in HVAC system design within the AEC or MEP consulting industry
• Proficiency in Revit MEP, Navisworks, and AutoCAD; experience with BIM workflows is essential
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, heat load calculations, and energy modeling
• Familiarity with tools such as HAP, Trace 700, or IESVE for HVAC analysis is preferred
• Excellent analytical, coordination, and communication skills
• Experience in leading design projects and mentoring junior staff is a plus
• Knowledge of sustainable and green building design practices is an advantage
