Advertisement for the position of Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) under the ICMR-funded project at the Institute of Nano Science and Technology

Applications are invited from highly motivated and bright candidates for engagement of Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical)in the research project funded by ' ICMR', Government of India at Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Mohali.

Title of the Research Project: "Netrin-1 Centric Precision Therapy for Cervical Cancer Treatment by Integrating Computer Modelling, Experimental Methods, and Nanoformulation with Protein-ligand Interactions.".

Nature of the Project: Theoretical and Computational

Principal Investigator: Prof. Md. Ehesan Ali, Scientist-F

Name of the position available: Project Research Scientist-I

Number of positions available: One

Qualifications:

Essential: First Class Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG Degrees (Computational Chemistry/Biology/ (bio) Physics/BioSciences/Chemical Biology/Bioinformatics or related areas)

Desirable Experience: Research interest or experience in Computational Biology/Chemistry and Bioinformatics, Molecular Dynamics Simulations, programming knowledge in Python, and experience in handling big data and Data Analysis, Density Functional Theory (DFT)

Age limit: Must not be over 35 years as of , which is relaxable for specific reserved categories as per the rules of the Government of India.

Fellowship: Rs. 56,000/- pm + HRA (As Applicable)

Project duration: Initially one year and may be extended based on performance of the candidate and availability of funds.

General Terms and Conditions:

  • The position is purely on a temporary basis and renewable each year, subject to satisfactory performance for a maximum of three years/till the completion of the project, whichever is earlier.
  • The position is co-terminus with the project.
  • No TA/DA will be paid to attend the interview.
  • Original documents of age proof/certificates/degrees/mark sheets and other testimonials must be presented along with the self-attested photocopies of these documents at the interview (when the interview will take in person).

Only shortlisted candidates will be communicated to appear in the interview through email, and no other communication in this regard will be entertained.
