Business Development Manager – Transport / Logistics
Location: Sriperumbudur / Chennai
Experience: Above 10 years in Business Development, Transport Operations, and Logistics Sales
Industry: Transport / Logistics / Roadways
Qualification: Any Graduate / MBA in Marketing preferred
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to lead and expand our transport business. The candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, maintaining strong client relationship, and driving revenue growth through strategic planning and customer acquisition.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve business growth targets in the transport division.
Identify and onboard new clients in manufacturing, FMCG, and service sectors.
Maintain strong relationship with existing clients to ensure repeat and long-term business.
Negotiate contracts, rates, and service terms with clients and vendors.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and prepare business performance reports.
Participate in tenders and ensure timely submission of proposals.
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and collection targets.
Support management with regular business performance updates.
Key Skills:
In-depth knowledge of transport and logistics operations
Strong client networking and negotiation skills
Excellent communication and presentation abilities
Result-oriented with a proven record of sales achievement
Proficient in MS Office and CRM tools
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹60, ₹75,000.00 per month
