Role & responsibilities

4 + years of experience in utilities working with substations ideally with some US utility experience.

  • Utilize Computer Aided Drafting Software such as MicroStation or AutoCAD.
  • Prepare substation drawing packages with little or no supervision or insight.
  • Perform material ordering and BOM preparation tasks for substation construction.
  • Review substation drawing packages such as electrical arrangements, plan and section views, grounding, cable and conduit drawings.
  • Mentor lower-level designers in all aspects of substation design, including drafting, drawing package requirements, and material ordering.
  • Communicate with clients and project stakeholders.

Preferred candidate profile
