Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing and ensuring that all published materials meet quality standards and are free from errors. This role requires attention to detail, a good understanding of publishing workflows, and the ability to collaborate effectively with ALs and production teams.

What You'll Do

• Review typeset proofs for formatting accuracy, layout consistency, and adherence to style guides.
• Check corrections from authors, editors, and proofreaders have been implemented accurately.
• Verify front matter, body text, figures, tables, footnotes, references, and indexes for proper placement and formatting.
• Ensure consistency in fonts, heading levels, numbering, cross-references, and page layouts.
• Perform quality checks on images, and equations to ensure resolution and formatting meet standards.
• Check metadata, running heads, TOC, and indexes for accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure final files are error-free and ready for publication (print and/or digital).

Skills Required

• Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, Excel.
• Ability to interpret client instructions and ensure consistency across chapters/articles.
• Ability to document queries, maintain checklists, and provide feedback.
• Maintaining turnaround times (TAT) without compromising quality.

Eligibility Criteria

• Example: Master's degree in life sciences/technology/humanities.
• Minimum 1-2 years
