Outreach & Operations Associate (Thane - Mumbai)

At SignSetu, we are transforming Deaf education through an accessible, visual, and intuitive learning platform designed to strengthen literacy and communication for Deaf students.

We are looking for an
Outreach & Operations Associate
who will work closely with Deaf schools in
Thane
, and expand to
Mumbai schools within the next three months
. This is a high-ownership field role where you will support teachers, observe classroom usage, prepare progress reports, and ensure seamless implementation of SignSetu in partner schools.

Responsibilities:

  • Visit Deaf schools in
    Thane
    regularly; begin covering
    Mumbai
    as we expand.
  • Conduct demos, teacher onboarding, and training sessions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with principals, teachers, and staff.
  • Track classroom usage and student engagement with SignSetu.
  • Collect and organise data;
    prepare clear progress reports
    for the team.
  • Document feedback, challenges, and insights from classrooms.
  • Outreach to new Deaf schools
    for onboarding and partnerships.
  • Support impact measurement and contribute insights for product improvements.

  • Proactive in the role
  • Strong communication and people skills.
  • High empathy and patience when working with Deaf students and teachers.
  • Ability to travel within Thane & Mumbai (reimbursed).
  • Good Excel/Sheets skills for data tracking and reporting.
  • Organised, reliable, and self-driven.
  • Communicate in English + Marathi/Hindi.
  • Prior experience in outreach, education, operations, or social impact (preferred but not mandatory).
