Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development
Drive government sector sales with a strong focus on margin-based targets.
- Identify and acquire new government business accounts, including ministries, PSUs, defense, and central/state bodies.
- Establish and nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers in government organizations.
- Lead contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and tender submissions.
2. Strategic Planning
- Design and execute market-entry strategies for untapped segments in the government domain.
Work closely with internal stakeholders to align government business plans with organizational goals.
Government Account Mapping:
Identify and engage with relevant departments, ministries, and public enterprises for upcoming tenders, projects, and procurement needs.
4. Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of activities, opportunities, and pipeline progress in the CRM/cloud system.
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership on opportunity status, risks, and strategic recommendations.
Set and monitor KPIs such as win rate, pipeline value, and client retention.
Government Engagement & Relationship Management
Build and nurture strong relationships with decision-makers, influencers, and procurement officers in government entities.
- Represent the organization at public sector forums, conferences, and trade shows.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to government clients, understanding their needs and aligning company offerings accordingly
