Role description
Core Responsibilities:
Creating and implementing
data
governance
policies, standards, and procedures.
Ensuring
data
accuracy, completeness, consistency, and validity through monitoring, profiling, and implementing quality rules.
Implementing and managing access controls,
data
encryption, and other security measures to protect sensitive
data
and comply with privacy regulations.
Defining and managing user access rights to ensure appropriate
data
access and prevent unauthorized access.
Working with
data
stewards to manage
data
assets, resolve
data
quality issues, and ensure
data
is used appropriately.
Tracking
data
lineage (where
data
comes from) and managing metadata (
data
about
data
) to understand
data
origins and usage.
Establishing and maintaining a comprehensive
data
governance
framework that aligns with organizational goals and objectives.
Working with various stakeholders across the organization, including IT, business units, and legal, to ensure
data
governance
is effectively implemented and maintained.
