We're hiring for a Desktop Support Engineer (24*7)

Location: Navi Mumbai (Ghansoli)

Exp: 1-2 yrs

Shifts: Rotational Shifts (including night shifts)

Role & responsibilities

  • Providing Desktop/Laptop/AV support and services both for software and hardware for an organizations employees.
  • Should have excellent troubleshooting knowledge of Desktop/Laptop/Thin client/Virtual machines.
  • Setting up of computers and software (On Approval from IT Manager) installation for various computer applications and programs.
  • Identifying and solving any problems that affect computer operating systems
  • Engineer has to coordinate with user for assigned tickets, update in tool and close ticket after user confirmation on time.
  • Eng shall identify issues related to network, servers, AD & AV and should coordinate proactively with respective team for resolution.
  • Proactively Maintaining the Infra health (i.e. AV & patches).
  • Maintenance and upgrading of computer systems or offering recommendations on upgrades needed
  • Troubleshooting and RCA of routine problems and maintenance of servers.
  • Carry out Helpdesk activity assigned time to time, complete and report the same on specified time. Able to discuss challenges timely to over cum delay in activity.
  • Should have good knowledge of issues related to Microsoft products like MS-Office, Ms Outlook as well as Thunderbird
  • Maintaining other computer peripheral & devices such as HDD, MBD, RAM, Processor, printers, projectors and solving problems if any. And proactively inform asset team for regular update.
  • Coordinate with internal team for proper handover of the calls
  • Knowledge of Virtualization i.e. VM Box, VM ware, VM Players etc.
  • Perform action based on defined SOP's and adhere to the same.
  • Knowledge of Linux and Ubuntu.
  • 24x7 and ready for work in shifts.
