We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Commis Chef to join our team in the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cooking and kitchen management, with excellent culinary skills and attention to detail.
Roles and Responsibility
- Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing menus for special events and functions.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety in the kitchen.
- Collaborate with other chefs to develop new recipes and menu ideas.
- Manage inventory of ingredients and supplies, ensuring minimal waste and optimal usage.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Develop and implement effective kitchen procedures and protocols.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a Commis Chef or similar role in a professional kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and menu planning.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and appliances, including ovens, refrigerators, and dish washing machines.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods of time.
