Ranakpur Petrochem is a leading player in the industrial minerals and chemical processing sector, specializing in dolomite, quick lime, soapstone, talc, and hydrated lime. With a focus on innovation, sustainability, and quality, we aim to develop value-added chemical products for industries such as construction, ceramics, plastics, and paints.

We are looking for a Product and R&D Head to lead the company's product innovation roadmap, oversee research and development initiatives, and drive the transformation of raw minerals into high-performance industrial materials.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Innovation & Development

Lead the design and development of new chemical and mineral-based products, including fillers, coatings, and functional additives.

Formulate value-added derivatives from lime, dolomite, and talc to meet the demands of domestic and international markets.

Build an innovation pipeline focused on high-margin, sustainable chemical solutions.

1. R&D Leadership

Establish and manage in-house R&D facilities for experimentation, testing, and pilot-scale trials.

Drive research into material science, surface modification, and nano-particle enhancement for mineral-based applications.

Collaborate with research institutes and industry experts to stay at the forefront of mineral chemistry advancements.

1. Process Excellence

Optimize existing processes for calcination, hydration, and micronization to improve product consistency, yield, and efficiency.

Develop SOPs and technical documentation for all new product formulations and processes.

Evaluate and implement advanced technologies for automation and quality control in manufacturing.

1. Strategic Planning & Market Alignment

Identify emerging market opportunities and align R&D initiatives with commercial goals.

Collaborate with the sales and strategy teams to translate market needs into technical specifications and new product launches.

Benchmark against global standards and guide certification processes (BIS, REACH, ISO).

1. Quality, Safety & Sustainability

Ensure strict adherence to quality, environmental, and safety protocols.

Promote eco-friendly and energy-efficient production methods.

Implement robust product testing, validation, and continuous improvement systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering / Industrial Chemistry / Material Science or a related field.

Minimum 8–15 years of experience in R&D, product formulation, or process development within the lime, dolomite, talc, or mineral-based chemical industries.

Proven success in leading cross-functional teams and commercializing new products from concept to market.

Deep understanding of hydration, calcination, micronization, and surface modification processes.

Exposure to export markets and international quality standards preferred.
