Role & responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy that aligns with company business objectives, focusing on innovation, scalability, and cost-efficiency in manufacturing and operations.
• Collaborate with the MD/CEO and senior leadership to integrate IT strategies with corporate goals, particularly in expanding product lines and global market presence.
• Provide visionary leadership to position company as a technology-driven leader in electrical wire termination and renewable energy solutions.
• Forecast IT needs to support the companys growth, including scalability for new product categories and international markets.

Digital Transformation

• Lead end-to-end digital transformation initiatives to modernize manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and customer engagement.
• Identify, evaluate, and implement emerging technologies (e.g., IoT, Industry 4.0, cloud computing) to enhance production efficiency and product quality in terminal blocks, interface modules, and solar products.
• Oversee the integration of smart manufacturing technologies to optimize companys state-of-the-art facilities, including CNC machines and automated injection moulding systems.

ERP System Management

• Oversee the strategic enhancement and maintenance of company's custom ERP system, built on a .NET environment, to support manufacturing, inventory, and financial operations.
• Lead the modernization of ERP capabilities, including integration with advanced modules for supply chain management, production planning, and customer relationship management (CRM).
• Evaluate third-party ERP solutions for potential adoption or hybrid integration to improve scalability and user experience.
• Ensure ERP system reliability, security, and performance to meet the needs of a growing manufacturing enterprise.

Data Analytics, Dashboarding, and MIS Reporting

• Develop a robust data strategy to create a data-driven culture, leveraging business intelligence (BI) tools to enhance decision-making across manufacturing, sales, and operations.
• Partner with external vendors to implement advanced BI platforms, dashboards, and MIS reporting systems tailored to company's needs, ensuring actionable insights for revenue growth and operational efficiency.
• Define KPIs and metrics for manufacturing performance, supply chain efficiency, and customer satisfaction, ensuring dashboards align with strategic objectives.
• Oversee data governance, ensuring data accuracy, accessibility, and compliance with industry standards.

Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Artificial Intelligence (AI)

• Drive the strategic adoption of RPA and AI technologies to automate repetitive processes in manufacturing, procurement, and customer service.
• Select and manage technology partners to implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective RPA and AI solutions that align with company's growth objectives.
• Develop a roadmap for AI-driven predictive maintenance and quality control to enhance production reliability and reduce downtime in manufacturing facilities.
• Ensure measurable ROI from automation initiatives, focusing on cost reduction, process efficiency, and enhanced service delivery.

IT Infrastructure and Operations

• Oversee the management and modernization of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud systems, to support company's manufacturing and business operations.
• Ensure high availability and performance of IT systems critical to production, such as those supporting CNC machines, testing facilities, and automated manufacturing processes.
• Implement best practices for IT operations, including ITIL frameworks, to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
• Manage IT budgets, optimizing resource allocation for hardware, software, and personnel while ensuring cost-effectiveness.

Cybersecurity and Compliance

• Develop and enforce robust cybersecurity policies to protect company'sintellectual property, customer data, and manufacturing systems from cyber threats.
• Ensure compliance with national and international standards, including ISO 27001 and GDPR (for global clients), as well as industry-specific regulations for electrical manufacturing.
• Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments, implementing measures to mitigate vulnerabilities in IT and OT (operational technology) environments.

Vendor and Resource Management

• Manage relationships with IT vendors, service providers, and technology partners to ensure high-quality service delivery and cost efficiency.
• Oversee the IT departments staffing, training, and development, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Optimize resource utilization, balancing in-house expertise with outsourced services to meet project deadlines and budgets.

Experience

• Minimum of 10 years of progressive IT experience, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership or consultancy role within the manufacturing sector.
• Proven expertise in managing ERP systems, preferably in Microsoft Dynamics environments, with experience in customization and integration.
• Demonstrated success in leading digital transformation projects in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Experience with automation technologies (RPA, AI) and business intelligence tools in a manufacturing context.
• Prior experience managing IT teams and vendors in a mid-size organization, preferably in electrical or technical manufacturing.

Skills

• Background in managing IT for ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certified organizations.
• Exceptional strategic planning and leadership skills, with the ability to align IT initiatives with business goals.
• Strong technical expertise in IT infrastructure, cloud computing, ERP systems, and emerging technologies (IoT, AI, Industry 4.0).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with executives, mentor staff, and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making and process optimization.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and compliance requirements in manufacturing and global markets.
