Role Purpose: The role is responsible for supporting the Corporate Finance in managing the accounting activities of one of the Subsidiary Company of DP World including Finalisation of accounts, Audit, Financial Planning and Analysis, Financial and Management reporting, Tax Accounting & Working Capital. The selected candidate will, jointly with other Managers, be responsible for a pool of Accountants.

Designation: Asst Manager / Manager- Taxation - Global Service Centre

Base Location: Navi Mumbai

Reporting to: Finance Operational Leader

Key Role Responsibilities:

Mainly supervise & manage closely day-to-day activities for VAT and corporate tax purposes

• Supervise and review the tax preparation and tax returns.
• Supervise the tax return submission & payments as per the set deadlines.
• Supervise the tax reconciliations
• Supervise the customs' reconciliations reports with the books
• Provide guidance to finance and non-finance departments regarding tax compliance requirements.
• Supervise the tax refunds process
• Follow up the tax audit queries with internal & external auditors
• Monitor changes in tax laws/regulations and assess the impact on the organization's operations
• Support in assessing tax compliance requirements for new projects

• Preferably experience is in construction or oil & gas industry

Education & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance & ACCA or equivalent
• Minimum of seven years' experience in VAT, corporate tax & transfer pricing
• Strong knowledge of UAE tax laws & knowledge in worldwide tax law is a plus
