Position: Manager Middle Mile Control Tower

Location: Bangalore

Role Overview

The Manager – Middle Mile Control Tower will be responsible for driving visibility, reliability, and efficiency across Shadow fax's middle-mile operations. The role involves overseeing end-to-end shipment movement between origin, vias and destination hubs, ensuring adherence to service levels, and enabling data-driven decisions for network optimization. The position requires strong operational acumen, analytical rigor, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver best-in-class logistics performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and monitor day-to-day Middle Mile operations across routes, hubs, and transport partners to ensure on-time departures, arrivals, and service-level compliance.
  • Establish and manage a centralized control tower framework for real-time visibility and proactive exception management.
  • Drive network performance improvements through continuous analysis of throughput, delay trends, and utilization metrics.
  • Collaborate with Regional Operations and Network Design teams to implement network optimization and efficiency initiatives.
  • Identify process bottlenecks, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective and preventive measures.
  • Transition manual tracking and reporting processes to automated, technology-driven dashboards and alert systems.
  • Generate and publish regular performance reviews, highlighting SLA adherence, breach analysis, and network productivity.
  • Partner with Product and Technology teams to enhance visibility tools, improve automation, and strengthen data quality.
  • Standardize processes across zones to ensure consistency, scalability, and compliance with organizational SOPs.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or MBA preferred (Tier I/II institutes advantageous).
  • 0-2 years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Transportation Operations, with at least 3 years in a Control Tower or Network Operations role.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale, time-sensitive operations and driving cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining a strong focus on process discipline and business impact.
